(17 March 08)–  Jonathan Smeeton’s School of Lighting has held the first Production Lighting 101 class of 2008 at the TLS, Inc./Nashville facilities.

Smeeton is offering four different workshops throughout the year that provide hands-on training for the novice, graduate student and young professional.

With four decades of innovative lighting experience. Smeeton says, “For me it’s a natural progression. Teaching my workshops is simply an extension of the years of teaching touring LD’s methods and techniques. There’s plenty to learn. And being in TLS,Inc.’s totally professional environment has had a tremendous impact on the class.  No off-line visualizing here…It’s all for real”.

TLS,Inc’s president David Milly is happy to have the association with Smeeton and his workshops, and is only too pleased to be able to provide space in the new Nashville facilities.  Milly is a firm believer that training the next generation is what it’s all about.
